You want a warm end at 90 to 92 range and the other end no cooler than 82. They will pick the best spot to cook that stuff down. I personally do not leave the big egg mass attached. I had several that I left attached a long time ago that I believed bled to death out those veins trying to get away. A small tight mass is different. The large squishy blobs those puppies have is not good. If you look at the umbilicus there is a spot in the middle where it almost looks like everything comes to a sort of traffic jam. If you break it off past that point they bled very little. I break or cut that off and put flour on the "broken" end. That usually stops any bleeding. They definitely need a little more time in the oven or a slightly warmer oven before they were born. Was their Momma constantly on the heat when available?

Jeff the momma must not have had that seek the heat behaviour instilled in her. I never once caught her in the heat conservation tight coil pose. Some times she would coil up in a way that her sides were touching but most of the time she liked to stay stretched out in that cage. The cages ambient temp was between 84 and 86 throughout gestation. I will remove the blobs. The only one with a really tight yolk sac is that reverse striper( the one I reaaaaally want to live).
Being a beginner in breeding I have learned that if the female doesn't retain that 88 degrees you wrote about I should prolly elevate the cages ambient temp and do the cooking manually.
Those painted on saddles a few have reminds me of jungle boas.
Does that mean there was no warm spot in the cage? You just heated the room?

She had a hotspot that reached 92-94. Accessability to heat was not an issue. Everything went mainly according to the book Jeff. I had a feeling with having strong storms for the last 3 days in a row she would drop a little early. But I didn't the 2/3 days early to have such an effect.
On this experience I witnessed preov swelling, Ovualtion, POS, waxy stool. I was able to utilize the baby doppler successfully and got to see how such a sweet thing can turn into demon snake from hell. Now as a newbie breeder I get to experience the care of premie neos. Seems to me I have had a very well rounded experience.
Now that I have taken care of the neos and momma has been fed I can start fussing over the babies.I just wonder how long it will take momma to chill out. She can taste or somehow knows just which direction outside her cage the babies are being housed because she's been trying to get out of her enclosure in their direction.

What size is the "hot spot"? What is it?

1' by 1 1/2 ft. heat tape under enclosure. Plus I had the oil heater I used to keep the room 82 degrees in the winter partially under the table this cage sits on. All around the cage stayed well heated with a good sized hotspot. The coolest she was able to get was 84. I temp guned the whole of the enclosure on a regular basis in case I needed to make any slight adjustments. I don't believe I failed with the heat.
The humidity stayed around 60-69 and the ambient 84-86.
Sounds good young man!

Larry I'll have to get more individual pics for ya to see. A few of the babies show those real crisp drawn on saddles with a pen outline.A couple of the super hypos may be jungles as well.
So the genetics involved here would be hypo, pastel, jungle het albino.
