Anyone proven Toffee x Tpos?

krhodes Jun 10, 2010 10:41 AM

Just wondering if the two lines have been proven compatible or not.
Anyone produce a true ghost yet?

By "True Ghost" do you mean anery x a hypo that is not an evans/lasik line "Hypo". I know there are double hets out there that are T positive albinos that we refer to as hypos x anery, but to me that would not be a True Ghost... A true hypo that is not a T positive needs to be bred to an anery in order to get a true ghost imo. Just wondering which combo you were asking about, I have a T pos x anery male that will go to some het aneries and a few T pos hypos next season but I know people are breeding double hets.

Thanks for the clarity.
I guess then that an axan x Tpos would make a Tpos snow?
I would like to see either one.

Keep us posted Jeremy. I know you are working with some cool stuff.

I agree that it should be called a T Pos Snow and not a ghost but since the T Pos are called hypos, who knows haha. I will be breeding an anery to one of tom agosta's hypos next season and make some true ghost double hets, love the look of his hypos! The het females that laid for me this year are really really red and the hypos turn out like a pastel chocolate color with a really sweet green face! Hogs rule all together and I can't wait for another month when eggs start hatching! And keep us updated on the spiders, PICS PLEASE

HAHA...i miss read the question on hypos x Tpos as Typos...You have to admitt, it sounds like a pretty good name for hypo T pos albinos......just saying

Being that the paradoxing in the toffeebellies is not in the "hypos", I am guessing that they are not the same morph... Compatability depends on where the mutaion is on the DNA strand...

Those are my thoughts as well. However the ultramel corn issue does make me think about what may happen. I think there will be some new things to learn about genetics in the coming years. Who knew codominant traits would pop up in hognoses just a few years ago? Everything up to that was recessive. Should be interesting.
