and she was just starting to plump up (either gravid or ovulating)...very Red as you can kinda see!

I was tempted to keep her and hatch out the babies...but I figured I'd just leave her. She was very calm...didn't even strike.

I thought the same thing...it was by far the Redest Red Rat I've ever seen in the wild!

I would keep it if you are interested in starting your own line of bloodreds!! Blood reds supposedly started from WC corns in northern Fla. called "hastings" phase. Regardless, nice snake for sure!!!!
