On premies that did not have the yolk in their belly but instead was outside the belly and removed do I need to wait until they shed before first introducing food? I want to ensure they have the strength to survive.

wait till they shed then offer food. They will be just fine. I had a boa from my march 1 litter just eat 3 nights ago. Watch, the slow starter will become the MONSTER of the litter!

When everyone sheds probably around day 8-12 you can offer food.
Those that did not shed could be offered food ,
they may or may not take it.
They should be fine for quite some time
even if they decline the food offered
