Colorado Bull Snake

ChrisMaze Jun 11, 2010 11:05 PM

About 6 feet by my estimates today. This snake had no intentions of scooting away from me, and almost started actually getting aggressive. Think that may have been due to it possibly being a gravid female looking for a place to lay those eggs. You can actually see some bulges along the snake in the photos.

The big surprise to me was that I found it in a city park in Colorado Springs... Is it usual to see these guys that far west in CO at elevations of 6,100ft?

When I was a kid in Colorado I'd find 'em up to about 7000 feet. If you want a good spot, Mesa Verde has some *killer* bulls. Which sucked cause I lived at about 8500

We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid.
