Hypo Leopards (Second Litter)

CoreyWoods Jun 11, 2010 11:35 PM

I knew this females was going to lay soon as she'd been twitching for over a day. Once again I didn't statistically produce as many leopards as I was suppost to but once again any litter with live babies is a good thing!

This is the second pairing of Leopard x Hypo Het Leopard. This is the sister to the Hypo Het Leopard who gave birth 2 days ago. It's interesting to see the contrast in not only the Hypo gene but also the het leopards.

Here are some pictures.

Check out the stripes on some of the Hypos!

3 of the het leopards also came out with some striping as well.

The rest of the het leopards

All in all the litter consisted of 22 babies;

3 Hypo Leopards
1 Leopard
7 Hypo het Leopards
11 Het Leopards (one deformed so 10 healthy het leopards)

The Hypo Leopards were one of the biggest and best surprises to me in the litters trying for the Leopard Sunglow!! They seem to just exhude color as you'll see when your litter sheds. Congratulations on an awesome litter.

Huge Congrats!
You must be on cloud 9 having proven both females out with nice litters, just days apart!

You ended up with some really nice Hypo Leopards for your patience and efforts...

I bet they're colors are only going to get better with age. I
can't wait to see these and some of the other Hypo Leopards that are out there, specially as they reach the 18 month to 3 year range...

Hopefully everyone that's produced Hypo Leopards this year & last year, will share what they end up looking like.

Thanks for sharing,
