Black x Glades??

KevinM Jun 14, 2010 12:57 PM

I may have the opportunity to pick up some black x glades rat integrades from a local nature center where my son is attending a camp this week. The center previously housed the male glades with the female black rat and "Whoopsie", the female black laid a clutch last year that the center successfully incubated. The center has some juvies from last year they are apparently still looking to re-home. I am curious if anyone has seen this mix and could give me any ideas of how they may look when they mature. I am not sure I even want to get an integrade since I would not breed it. Still, it may make a curious addition to the collection!!

Thanks
KevinM

Sounds interesting Kev. I don't think I ever seen a cross of these unless you consider the Bubblegum but that also has abino in the mix.

I've got a batch of exactly that in the over right now from the same kind of accident, should pip within a couple weeks. I'd love to see what those look like. Any chance for some pics? Seems like that would produce something like a "Greenish Rat"?

Again, I'd love to see pics...please???)

No pics and I have not seen them personally yet. They are yearlings from last summer. A friend of mine saw them and said they were pretty muddy looking. Still, baby yellows and glades are not spectacular either until a year or two old. I am very curious as to how the yellow/orange will bloom out, or if the black diffusion will just create a solid muddy brown snake LOL!!

Thanks Kevin. Sorta thinking they'll be muddy
