If your looking for, "Blue Racers" you can omit Florida at least. Ours are various shades of BLACK. We just call them "Black Racers!"????? Imagine that. I guess we're a little slow. Maybe not! LOL Glad to see the modified forum up. 2/6/03 Night collecting for Anolis and Hylids. Lows in the 60's highs around 80. Light wind. 550 A. Sagrei. A few A. Carolinensis but left them to reclaim territories dominated by Sagrei. Sorry about the latin. Collected several under 18" yellow rats, S. Ribbons, 1 stubby 4' Red with a reduced ventral pattern.(Released) A few Green tree Frogs, Squirrels and of course Cuban tree Frogs. Last night wind kicked up. 20 mph gusts. Light rain. Temps in the low 60's. 50's if you consider wind chill. Most everything was down due to the wind. Still very dry. Collected 50 - Eastern Spadefoots at the end of the night. A few indo-pacific geckos, brown basilisks.(In areas protected from the wind)Saw a few 3-stripe muds active. I'll try to post some picks of field work this weekend and a few habitat shots.
