After having my 2 females for 1.5 years, im finally taking them to the vet. out of ignorance i never have, but this forum is helping me a lot. So.. how fresh do the stool samples have to be? I will be taking 3 beardies, maybe 4, with me. Should I feed them big the evening before, then pick up the freshest samples the next morning? Any other tips are welcome also. Thanks.

The poop should be as fresh as possible. When I take mine in, I put it in labeled baggies with each dragons name on it.
**Label them before you put the poop in...lol
There's no need to feed them extra food if they poop regularly.

I would feed a little heavy 2 days before, keep a sample from that day Just in case on the day of the vet you miss it, and have to make a new appointment. Seems they go like clock work except when your waiting for it. Vet said, the sample would be fine if kept cool, moist. Good Luck!

Stool samples can be kept in the fridge for days.
Week old samples are fine if kept in the fridge.
Just get a sample acouple of days before and you should be fine.

Just make sure it's fresh when you get it, not a old crusty one that was buried away somewhere..lol
