need advice on northern pine

domingos Jun 16, 2010 08:56 PM

Two weeks ago‚ my pine had a bad shed and had a huge soft lump with a hard "ball" at the end. My breeder informed me to soak the snake daily and massage the mass for stimulation. It hadn't worked but the snake seemed hungry. I gave it a fuzzy (small meal). It took it but regurged a day later. The lump remained. I planned to take him to the vet that my breeder recommended. However, the lump is completely gone now and he seems back to normal. I did find a wet spot on the aspen. Temps are 88 hi and 70's low. He was born in January 2010. Does anyone know what happened ? When should I try another feeding?

I had the same thing happen to me once, minus the regurge. Snake acted fine through the whole ordeal. Had this hard as rock mass in it's body that I couldn't explain. And then later it was gone. No idea! And I only had that happen the one time.

Haven't had an issue like that, but I'd lower that high temp. 88 is too high I think. I keep mine upper 70s no extra heat and they thrive.
