color change?

ADDICTED23 Jun 16, 2010 09:27 PM

I just happen to walk by my 4 year old triple-het for moonglows cage to check on her shed (which is done and off) and noticed that her color looks really washed out(not the normal shed color). Her temps are good at a grad of 76-86 and the substrate is shredded newspaper with a dish of ecoearth for humidity. My question is.... Is this normal? Not that im thinking that its special, but more or less wondering if something in her cage can i guess bleach out her colors? i havent taken any pics but where she used to be a lightened tan orange color she now is displaying ghost type fades with some semi-big spots of whites.
I took her out and shes acting normal and healthy.... any insight?

Where do you get your feeders from and has there been a regurge lately?

Her last meal was two weeks ago and the rat came from the same place i always get her food from.... the snow eat the same day and is in shed now. The snow had nasty waxy stool, but she was fine.
the only thing ive changed in the cage is the small dish of eco earth was refilled a week ago from the same block as before.

I noticed Salmon Hypo Boa's are like Chameleons lol not literally but I have a nice PC salmon abby I purchased from Rich and john several years back and was a solid pinkish red and recently through the years she can sometimes show colors as solid light bright orange and dark reds when she's cold and she's developed sherbet spots that fade through her side and under belly. SHe's totally healthy and seems to just have mood swing color changes from time to time . I hope yours is having the same 8)

If the snow had a bad stool I'd say it was most likely bad feed. If it's what I think your talking about I had 2 fade out, both BCC's, one shed and looked all pail and after the next shed looked normal and was healthy and never had a nother problem, a second one that ate around the same time, the next shed she was all pail and never got her color back, sad to say she refused to feed after that and died.

This is what the male looked like prior to shed

This is how he looked after shed

and this is how he looked the very next shed

and this is the female that never recovered
Before

and after the shed
