I'll likely be making a new hatchling rack in the next few days. I'll try to take some pictures of the process.

Oh and as for hide boxes I just use cardboard boxes. Nice and dark and my snakes love em.

Alright, thanks! I don't have very many BPs yet, but space is getting a little tight and I think racks would be nicer.

I used boxes for hides too for a while. I have a small collection (comparatively speaking) so have since switched to store bought snake caves. But the boxes worked great until I could buy caves for everyone. I found some cheap boxes online from a shipping kind of company and just ordered a bunch. It ended up costing $1 per box and each box made two hides. So didn't feel bad to just toss them if they got soiled. The photo is of Bella who was about 3000 grams here and fit comfortably enough in the box hide.

For hatchlings, I get the clear plastic plant saucers from Lowes for like 38 cents, paint them black, cut a semicircle in the side, and put it in. For adults, I use pretty much any appropriately sized plastic container, like plastic bowls turned over.

those hide boxes are great.. simple to clean and not too terribly expensive.

My rack. Plan on building another one soon, possible twice as wide.

I have a rock and plastic hand-saw which can make a hide out of almost any container - a very dangerous tool but really useful if you find a specific box/container that works just right for all your snakes.

If by chance you have access to one or something similar you could make the perfect size hide for your snakes using anything from garbage cans, thick plastic mop buckets, terra-cotta clay pots (which are porus which is why I dont like them...too much humidity) but are still good.
I purchased a small plastic (rectangular) oil pan from canadian tire's auto department and sawed out an entrance hole. Its low to the ground, completely black and easy to clean. Great for an adult hide box.
