Pumas fresh out of the egg

marshallvt Jun 17, 2010 01:20 PM

Got home last night from a business trip to find these guys out of the egg.

A 2 gene combo with no pastel in there. They really get yellow with age.

So, how is a Puma different from a Champagne? Are these just Champagnes with something extra thrown in? Sorry, I really do try to keep up with all the morphs and combos.

They are two totally differnet morphs. Amir produced the first one and he named them Puma. The confusion comes in where the champagne is called the puma overseas.

Hey Marshall,
Was that Ivory to Puma?
May I ask the other gene involved?
They look great!
Take care.

So the two lines are not compatible? Is it codominant or dominant? I am intrigued!

Which two lines? Puma - Champagne. No two different morphs. Unknown codom or dom.

According to Brian @ BHB.......the puma is the Super Spector?????

marshallvt Jun 18, 2010 08:49 AM

That is not accurate. I think that was said on a youtube video at a show? The puma is a het puma (not a spector) and a yellowbelly.

pythonregius35 Jun 18, 2010 06:25 PM

for clearing that up.......awesome animals btw!!

muddoc Jun 18, 2010 09:53 AM

Man I need to get one of those things. They look even better once they get some size on them.
