I was wondering if anyone knows why my nasicus turns darker around her neck and first third of her body after she lays eggs? Thanks.

And I hoping one of her eggs has another one of these inside! But I'm not holding my breath...
More pictures of that freak please. Is it a cyclops??
Whatever it is, I hope its not genetic...
Damn, think so, too

I hope it IS genetic because the Saint Louis Aquarium gave me $3K for it! Here is an article that mentions it (as well as the 2 headed corn they had). And here is another picture of it, with a couple normal siblings. The condition it had is called diprosopus, which means 2 faces. There was a recent story on the news about a kitten born with the same condition.

That's crazy!! Is the center eye made up of two eyes fused together?
Yes exactly Jon. It had 2 pupils in one eye. I had to assist feed and water it but I had it over a month before I sold it. They had it about another month or so until it died. The Aquarium told me it was due to employee neglect or something (probably dehydrated) as the regular caretaker was out of town when it died...I have more pictures I uploaded back then on my profile but I can't seem to post more than one at once or even view them anymore...
I was lucky my yard had a bumper crop of anoles that year because I couldn't get it to accept even the smallest pinkie down it's deformed mouth(s).

So why would you want to reproduce a physically and genetically weak animal like that again??? It is realy cool looking and all in a freakish way...
Luckily deformations like that are not passed down genetically...
Yeah I know its not genetic, just random. But if she did throw another freak maybe I could afford a pair of pink anacondas.
So I guess nobody else has had a snake turn dark around the neck after she lays? That was my original reason for posting, sorry guess I shouldn't have changed the subject. I noticed it a little the last time she laid, but this time it is much darker.
