do you think collareds are social?

i have only one collared and he always seems lonely, he also doesnt eat very well and im concerned. do you think they are social and that is why he isnt eating well? should i buy him a room mate? ack. he is my favorite lizard i dont want him to be sad or unhealthy. help help help!!! also, if anyone knows of a collared breeder in canada, preferably in alberta please tell me, i dont like pet stores too much (aqua flame are my favorite!!). ooo or if you know someone in canada who wants/needs to get rid of theirs please tell me.

at least not in terms of companionship. The only time collared lizards show any observable interest in the company of other Crotaphytus is during the breeding season, when males actively seek out females for the purposes of mating. As much as we like to speak/write anthropomorphically when referring to our lizards, I don't believe that they become "lonely" in any real capacity...
