ps caught a jack rabbit with my bare hands on this trip no joke
unfortunatly forgot my camera at home and no I didnt bring the rabbit home

Cool Stuff. What sub-species is that zonata?? I love how much black it has.

Check out my field herp page. It has some pretty good stuff from Utah and Arizona up right now and I'll be adding California, Kansas and Colorado soon.

Cool finds! And speaking of that jackrabbit you caught...I once caught a male Kestrel hawk at night under a bridge while looking for snakes. I was shining my spotlight around and looking up at the swallow nests and then this little falcon woke up and was startled, then flew directly into my spotlight lens and landed on the ground at my feet, so I put my cap over it! I was sooo tempted to take it home, they are really beautiful up close. And their claws and beak can do a number on your hands too!
