Question for Will, Kevin, or Brock

anthony james mc Jun 19, 2010 05:34 AM

Will I think this is your picture and I'm posting it just because I had a quick question for you (or at least one of you that knows the answer, lol).. Is that sibling next to that Banana just an ugly Pastel or is that how the "normals" look in a Banana x Normal clutch? It's been driving me nuts when I see that snake next to that Banana as it's very orange colored for a "normal" and so I just had to ask! Perhaps photoshop was used on the pic , just couldn't tell what was up really with that sibling? If the Banana is in fact a Pastel Banana then I could see the other one as an odd colored Pastel but again wasn't sure what was going on as it isn't labeled Pastel Banana from what I could tell either???

Kevin over at NERD, please feel free to chime in if you have anything to add concering the visual looks of the "normals" in your incredible bloodline as well !

Thanks!

The one in the picture must be a pastel..

My normals all look quite "normal"......

but that snake in the picture looks like I wish the normals would look!

I have a sibling 100% het clown female from the first banana x clown clutch, and can say that she is TOTALLY different in color, Super light and yellow compared to any other ball I have. She produces incredibly colorful and light clowns as well. I have a feeling banana/etc have a gene that lightens up others....cause some of the het babies she produced are light as well like her, and some are not....

There is a pic of a Pastel Banana on Boa Basements website for comparison. Judging by the pic there, the one you are refering to could just be a Pastel.

I would think it looks like a pog.

I would have to say the 'pastel' look quite striking, far better looking than the banana. At least to me...but I have never been a big fan of pale washed out colors...

Looks like a hypo pastel to me. Also looks like a pic from Douglas R. Matuszak over at the Boa Basement.

Thanks for clearing that up Kevin and all the rest of you ! That pic was driving me nuts as I couldn't figure out if that was a normal sib or what . POG is likely right , just would have thought he would have made that a little more clear as I'm sure I'm not the only one who wondered what was up with that one next to that banana !

Interesting about the Het Clown banana sib that throws crazy colored babies , could be something worth figuring out there!

hets for clown tend to be more beautiful than normals anyway. perhaps the combo makes even nicer hets and clowns. good either way!
