Are you dusting the food with calcium and vit d3 along with a multi vitamin once or twice weekly? Are you providing uvb lights for them? You have to describe their cage, and what you provide for them to get any kind of help for them. Temps etc.

well i always dust them with calcium but dont know if it contains d3 in it. i just got them a month ago because my friend cant keep it anymore. i now notice that 2f dont eat insects that i gave them. they are now all housed in a 75gal tank. th hot spot is 110 and i dont know about the cool side. my substrate is newspaper. i dont have branches i only use rocks. i put them in direct sunlight every other day. i also soak them when i get them out. any tips on what should i do?

IF the females' tails were bitten after you received them, then see who is biting whom, seems like the male, and move that BD to another tank. If you have all 3 in ONE tank then remove the male (too).

One obvious solution that comes to my mind is to take them to a qualified vet a.s.a.p! Also, follow the advice given, and separate them.

melvin_so Sep 24, 2003 11:09 AM

i know i must take them to the vet but in our country we dont have specialized vet for reptiles. any other solutions? hope you still read this and help me....

NorwegianDragon Sep 24, 2003 02:02 PM

I'm sorry, but a vet is your only option here. First of all, it's virtually impossible to diagnose a beardie through a forum on the internet. Second, if we could diagnose the problem more or less accurately, it would probably need the attention of a vet anyway, unless you're able to take blood samples, examine fecal samples, administer injections, prescribe medicine...

Are you absolutely sure there are no vets specialised in reptiles in your country? Do you have a zoo where you live? If so, they either have a vet or they will know of a vet. I'm having problems believing that there are no herp vets in your country. Even in my native country, Norway, where reptiles are illegal, they have vets who take them.

Please, try to find a vet with a least some knowledge about reptiles. And I really hope you've separated them by now, by the way.

did you house them all together.... have you had them since they were born... did you get them like this... how did these injuries happen.. you need to provide more info...

melvin_so Sep 23, 2003 08:41 PM

well i just got them like this. i got them for a month. they are now housed together on a 75gal tank. what should i do to get the conditions back? one female cant walk properly

el_toro Sep 23, 2003 09:07 PM

They should see a vet. If you're concerned about all of them, take them all - if you can't do that, at least try to get the girl with the walking problems to a reptile vet right away. I couldn't quite tell from the information you gave, but it sounded like you were worried because they were getting worse from when you got them...?

You need to get them to a vet if your so concerned, and make sure theres a 110 degree basking spot along with uv bulbs, also make sure they are getting greens calcium and a variety of beardie food, mustard greens, etc. Scott plus look up some care sheets for exact refrences to food and other requirements
