Mosaic Hognose

nearhoofm Jun 19, 2010 04:16 PM

I first produced these from a blonde to blonde breeding. I did the same breeding this year so we will see if this is genetic or not. For the past few years I have been breeding the same male to a red female and that breeding has always produced some real hot offspring that always had a different look

Ted Thomson line also?
Looking good. Fingers crossed.
BTW nice job on the anacondas x new Mexicos.
I also work with nm lines and think they are the nicest geographically occurring colored hognose snakes. Bet your yellows are nicer than what the pics show. Put me down on some of those even if they don't prove out.

Thanks Kevin, yes they are Thompson line blondes. Ted never bred any of his blondes back to each other but after he saw the mosaics he has started to hold some back, lol. As for the Belens they are much brighter than Ted's adults. what locality NM hogs are you working with and are you going to have any available this year. I will let you know what comes out of the blonde breeding and I cant wait until I am able to breed the Mosaics back to each other.

I also have a an awesome Blonde from Ted that I am trying to breed to a stone washed Carlsbad female.

Good luck on the pairing, I'd also be interested in offspring. Regardless of the results.
