Lost Spurs

snakeeyes1618 Jun 21, 2010 07:37 AM

So I have had this male for 3 years. He was bought as an adult so really not sure how old he is. I have never bred him.

Anyways, about a year ago he had a shed and lost his spurs....they have not grown back. Should I be worried?....otherwise he is a typical ball....eats when he feels like it and is pretty mellow

Thanks for your time

Scott

I've had a male and a female lose one or both spurs during shedding. They already had strangely thin or short spurs to start with. I am not too concerned about them or their breeding ability, however, I haven't bred yet, so I could end up eating those words.

In which case, what is there to do? Prosthetics?
