Kind of Zoo-like in my house. I think Eve has the most zoo-like job. She takes care of a zoo for room and board.
I hopefully will have a herp job in the future. I am applying to vet school for Fall 2004 admittance. I am going to pursue an exotics cirriculum and possibly work on a doctorate while working on my DVM. I'm an overachiever, I can't help it! LOL
A DVM/PhD from University of Florida gave a lecture at LSU vet school last week about opportunities in the reptile veterinary field. Very interesting! If you want to email me I can give you the details.

Wow, and you are already thinking about careers! Way to go!
I have friends with several college degrees that don't even know what they want to do! If you start looking into stuff now,it can make choosing a college must easier. Good luck!

In my town, our local zoo has what is referred to as "the zoo crew" and also "junior biologist." Basically the are a group of kids about your age that help out around the zoo, and assist in things such as feeding, weighing, documenting, and of course cleaning. It is a great oppurtunity to get your foot in the door, and get some up front experience if that is the field you want to pursue.
