Raz Attack!!

DreamWorks Jun 21, 2010 08:51 PM

Raz just tanked up today:

Fu Dog:

Hibiscus flowers, mustard greens, collard greens, and tomatoes... that I grow myself, organic yellow squash, and some sweet fruit dragon mix stuff I picked up.

This may seem crazy and you may think I'm full of it. But dragons are very compelling to me. Even though they only have an instinctual brain stem cognitive mechanism. I believe they have the capacity to feel and to a small extent understand love.

I have been working with my dragons awhile. And Fu Dog is the thee absolute sweetest dragon you could ever imagine. He loves to have his sunflower rubbed... (top of head looks like a sunflower scales go around in a circle on the top of head/nose) when I rub him there he closes his eyes and seems to smile.

Sometimes I will wrap him in a towel and hold him close to my chest... after bathing. I do this with all my dragons. H once again closes his eyes and seems so at peace. They know that you are their care taker and form a bond with you.

I think it's just the familiarity of seeing you day to day as their feeder and source of food etc. Some are more laid back and seemingly loving than others. Some dragons are very reptilian in their actions and seem to be cold blooded to the bone. Almost as if they cant stand you. But they are still sweet.

Once in awhile you get a rare dragon that is just so amazingly calm and assertive that it is a true pleasure to own them. Fu Dog is amazing!

Had Raz outside over the weekend. He was looking all around in awe of the outdoors. I kept him in a relatively shady area.

I used to keep snakes and had them all my life. The BDs have so much more personality and depth of character for me.

enjoy the pics

cheers

Just wanted to mention that my camera does Raz no just at all. He is basking under a MVB and a UVB lamp. His temps are perfect and I have measured with my solarmeter... he only gets about 100nano meters of uvb at that spot.

It is a hundred degrees where he is laying also.

He lays there to bask after eating.

But anyway... his colors are amazing. They look very washed out with the flash and light blazing down on him. Plus... being a translucent his colors wash out in the flash as well.

I don't know much about camera's, but I get the best pictures when I turn the flash off and turn the auto focus to af macros. It will focus on your dragon, or the item up front instead of trying to focus on everything in the view finder. Try it and see what you get. The AF feature on most camera's look like a flower or tulip.

Thanks...

Im pretty decent with cameras actually.

Most of those pics were with the auto focus macro feature on my Canon Power Shot SD600 digital ELPH.

The ones of Fu Dog were macro too but it was focusing on everything but him.

thanks for the tips

I really want for a:

Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR camera and the EF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM lens

an awesome macro combination

Here is an example of an image taken with the 7D and the 100mm f2.8 macro lens:

AWESOME Wayne! Yeah you got that right, my hypotrans male is like that very bonding and clingy to me. When i feed him in the morning(same time) when he see's me come into the room at that time he goes to where i always set the food dish and as soon as i set it down he always looks at me(like saying thank you) before he starts eating...

Thanks

Yes, Fu Dog has an awesome temperment.

You know what Fu Dogs are correct?

These guys:

They are like Asian dragon-lion-gargoyle type deals.

Some of them are gold which is what he looks to be made out of.
