My Bee is broken.

mikebell Jun 22, 2010 01:11 PM

Actually I think it might be shattered. Ballgraff, I think you got it right when you said shatter pattern. BackBeat, I hope it is more than just an oddity, time will tell.

There were two male bees in this clutch, the other one is very clean.

I have seen shatter pattern before, I can't remember where exactly, but I think it looked like this bee. Any thoughts on if it is an oddity like BackBeat mentioned or if it might be genetic?

Mike, I thought it was "Shattered" as soon as I saw it. I have a female Pastel with the same type of pattern, although you can see it better on the Bee. I will see if it is genetis this coming season. We'll see.

I called it paradox at first, until I got a better look. I don't know what a shatter looks like, so I can't say at all. Do you think it is just random or might be genetic?

Hey Mike,

Congrats! I have a female spider that looks like that.
She should go this coming season.
Mine is not as extreme as yours...but very similar.
Hope it proves genetic.

Take care bud.
