Gradient Temperature question.

PaleHorse May 25, 2003 10:45 PM

Hello to all.

All the care sheets state that you need a gradient cage temperature. No @*&*#!... Dick Tracy! They also state temps (DTH 90*) (NTL 68*) blah...blah...

Here is my question, you know what the DTH is sup. to be at one end of the enclosure... but how low is the other end supposed to be?

Thanks to all who put up with my sarcastic question.

This is what I do when not cycling for breeding... I keep all my boas in one room. The average temp in my room is between 78 to 80 degrees during the day and 75 to 78 at night. I use 11" heat tape on one side of there cages that are plugged into Helix thermostats. I keep my thermostats on 92 degrees, which in the cage is about 88 degrees on the hot side and my cool side is between 82 during the day and drops down to 78 or so at night.
