This post concerns me

JLSReptiles2011 Jun 23, 2010 12:17 PM

I know I'm new to the site and the forums, but have been in the reptile industry for years now. No, I haven't produced any high end morphs and haven't produced any baby snakes for that matter. I haven't went college for herpetology and received my bachelors in it. I just want to know if anyone has noticed if I have given any bad advice to anyone on here. I just had to post this. I know nothing about incubating really or anything about giving advice to people when it comes down to ovulation and preparing the stuff for incubation. That's why I just don't say anything when it comes to that stuff. I'm also depressed about getting rid of th BP's I did have because I wanted to make someone happy and inturn made myself miserable. I could have bred this fall and completed a dream. I'm sorry if I annoy anyone on here. Thanks for any responses.

I haven't noticed anything posted by you or towards you that I thought was out of line. What's up?

Well, what is wrong is that I was really depressed yesterday, doubting myself and having a withdrawl about not having the BP's I use to have. I made a huge mistake when I got rid of them, but there is nothing I can do about it now. It's very frustrating wanting to do something you love and it taking what seems like forever for it to happen. Nobody said anything about me or any advice I give. I was just doubting myself and asking what you guys thought. That's pretty much it. Now I feel stupid for saying anything.

Everyone doubts themselves every once in a while. Part of the human condition. Like how BPs don't eat. My recommendation would be to find another small side hobby and get your mind off of snakes for a bit. Then go back. They will be here when you come back, I guarantee.

As for your advice, it's been great for me so far...no complaints.
I'm sure you'll bounce back in no time. Maybe just give it a little time to digest because keeping a collection is a huge responsibility...which I won't preach you on because you already know it is. If you want it bad enough, you'll get it.

Just remember:
No one learned anything by succeeding. Its only through failure that anything valuable gets deduced and accomplished.

Hope this helps

This is a great idea and can be especially handy when waiting for babies!

Great advice, but I aleady have a side hobby lol. I take Taekwondo and go three times a week most of the time. I test for my green belt tomorrow. I got it in the bag. Wish me luck. I get to start sparring when I get my green belt. That is awesome. Anyway, I will let you guys know how it goes.
