Are Varanus Brevicauda available in USA? If so where or who? I saw a NOVA special last night on Monitors and I was pretty intrigued by these guys. If anyone has NetFlix I suggest you search for the film,,,

Just stumbled upon this post...its 90 degrees in my house at 9PM and I've been looking for something to watch...got on Netflix, added "Lizard Kings" to my Instant Que, now I'm watching my favorite animals in the world with a good beer...nice! As for the species in question, Short Tailed Pygmy Monitors, I don't remember seeing them available ever but I'm sure someone has some somewhere in the states or Europe. Australia's laws are brutal, yet perhaps necessary. It would be good to have some new bloodlines of animals available...but I see what they are thinking. Ying and Yang I guess. With expansion of people, loss of habitat, and darn Cane Toads, they might have to start aggressive captive breeding outside of Australia just to maintain species. Wow, way off topic...thanks for the heads up on the video
