More questions from a beginner

My little guy is starting to shed. How long does this usually take and should I do anything besides misting him? How often do they shed?

I think mine is just a couple months old. I bought a scale this morning and he's weighing in at about 20 grams. Does this sound right? He's about 7 inches long.

He's pooping regularly now at least, wooohoo! His appetite seems to have improved now too. But I'm wondering about his cage temps. The hottest spot is 113.5 and the cool side is 82.9.
Am I getting him too hot? He rarely ever lays in the extreme hot spot, usually off to the side where it's a few degrees cooler.

Thanks for all your help.

Temperatures are fine in both basking area and cool end. He sounds about the right weight for his length, mine was about 45g at 9 inches. Feed him all the crickets he can eat in about 10-15 minutes two times a day, offer mixed greens as well though he may not eat those right away (mine took about a month before he really started to eat his greens).

At that age they will shed probably every other week, usually in patches (head, arms and tail one week, body the next then back to head, arms/legs, and tail the following week). Misting is fine to help the shedding but if there are pieces that seem to not come off at all, adding a little baby oil directly on the spot can help lossen the dead skin. Never try and pull it off as this may damage the new skin. Soaking in baths for 20-30 minutes once or twice a day help as well (water temp around 80-90 F)

Thanks so much for all the info.

I bought him from a pet store (mistake) and they already were feeding him greens,(actually that's ALL they were feeding him!) which he LOVES. The only way he does crickets is if I crunch em up in with the food and he accidentally gets one. He's eating the RepCal juvenile pellet food too....very willingly!

I don't see alot of fat deposit places though, or do these not show as well til they age a bit?
