agriculture page....picture of one...frank founier holding what appear to be texas indigos, a protected species, that he killed at his home in quihi.....he suspects that these snakes are water moccasins....this is thurs 6/24 edition....shouldn't someone contact a TPWL person to stop by and educate these folks???....like this species eats venomous snakes....WTF....in the paper...

I checked out the newspaper website to see if they had the story and picture. NONE. I sent a email to the paper asking if they could attach the story and picture to me. Still cannot believe it.

I was kind of waiting to see if someone already contacted this guy, because I bet he's been swamped by now. Most of the folks in that neck of the woods know the Indigo, obviously he is an exception.

IF NOT - I'll go see him myself, our Hondo Ranch (complete with Texas Indigos), is only a few miles from his house.

the gw stopped us as we left roy's.....i said"yo...i got sumptin for ya"....."whacha ya gonna do 'bout dis?".....the least they should do is educate the guy as to how benefical this species is....i envisioned people goin' out killin' snakes to get their picture in the paper for the ol' scrape book.....along wit the fri night lights pictures...like we all got....o yeh....

Most of those folks know better, in the BBQ joint there in Hondo are photos of Indigos eating diamondbacks, so I guess this guy is a vegetarian!
