Every clutch I've hatched out has started to pip by this point. 88-90 degrees the whole time, proper humidity. I didn't change anything, and now I have the clutch I've been waiting for for years (pastel het pied X het pied) and nothing is piping. I don't usually cut eggs, but I'm thinking of doing it for these guys. Should I give them a few more days, or start snipping?

I would suggest that you Give'em another 4 days or so. I have seen guys talk about upwards of 62 to 64 days possible. I hope someone with more experience will chime in. Have a great weekend everyone. Jay

I cut on day 52 ALWAYS. i cook at 89 degrees as well.

I once had a clutch of 28 Jamp eggs, and 14 didnt pip and they died in the egg. I cant say for sure that they would have lived if i had cut, BUT they were fully developed when i finally got up the never to cut them. So i will ALWAYS cut 3 days prior to the "hatch" date.

I couldn't resist. Out of 7 eggs I have 3 pieds (one of which I'm almost positive is a pastel pied). Pics when the little wrigglers decide to join the ranks of air breathers....
