Vision C70 or CB80

thomas_dixon888 Jun 26, 2010 12:50 PM

For an adult female ball python, which would you choose. I was leaning toward the C70, but the CB80 is taller.

I would go with the CB-70
That's one that I am using and I think it's good.

I don't think You need the 13" height of the CB80 for ball pythons.

Thanks, I'll go with the C70. An 11x17 Ultratherm UTH should be good, right?

When you order the rack from vision they will send the heat cable for it with the rack. If your room that you will keep it in is cold, you might order an extra cable to add heat because the rack has a lot of airflow. Just what I have experienced.

Im not getting a rack. This will be my only tub. I planned to use a slab of acrylic as a top door w/ hinges on on side and a lock on the front. And I may or may not just build a single unit shelf to slide the tub in, or just set it on shims.

A CB 110 comes with a hinged lid. I got mine from Boas and Balls.

Thanks Mike! A CB110 it is. That will save me money and time, since I dont have to make my own lid. (but i was actually looking forward to it though) lol. But I'll still get that CB110. Do you use an Ultratherm uth?

mikebell Jun 29, 2010 09:19 AM

I use a lot of vision racks with heat cable and home made racks with flexwatt.

if i do use slate to place my tub on (with the ultratherm uth) should i use shims anyway, or no? Well maybe not, since you did say slate/tile is heat resistant.

instead of slate, how about shelf liner?
