First Time Eggs

JMo Jun 26, 2010 08:17 PM

Just had my two females lay their eggs - my first two clutchs! Needless to say I'm pretty excited - one had 5 eggs; the other 6 and all appear healthy. I removed the females off the eggs, and put the eggs in the incubator. The female's tubs were cleaned and they seem to be doing ok. The only question I have is when should I feed them?

Any advice is most welcomed.

Thanks,
Jim

I would try to feed them in about two to three days.

I give them 3-5 days then start offering , starting with small prey ,about the size of a regular adult mice , can be a rat but about that size I mean.. Don't feed them alot until they crap , they have touchy stomachs as they haven't ate in awhile so small meals is best till stuff has ran completely thru them (meaning wait for the stool before upgrading the prey size)...
