A DH Leopard x Leopard litter

kblumenthal Jun 27, 2010 09:36 AM

I picked up some boas from Bill Kirby, and one of them was a prego DH Leopard bred by a Leopard. 112 days after ovulation, here are the results that I woke up to this morning:

You wanna see what?!?!

You gotta go through me first!! All hiss, no bite (whew)...

The pile o' squirmers:

Separated a little:

A group shot:

The Leopards:

The DH's and the Hypo Leopard:

And finally, a closeup of the Hypo Leopard:

The final stats - 1 Hypo Leopard, 2 DH's, 4 Leopards, 1 Het Leopard, 1 stillborn (a DH), and 5 hockey pucks. A BIG thanks to Bill Kirby for all of his hard work, as I was just a mid-wife on this one!

An awesome litter of Baby Boas! Born in a Baby Boa Factory too I see! LOL

I have been trying to breed a male Leopard to a Hypo for four years without success. I may never see what you have there in that litter if this guy doesn't figure it out over here.

Congrats on a great litter!

Thanks Jeff, much appreciated. Yep, they were born in that excellent Baby Boa Factory that you created !

Best of luck with your Leo - have you tried reading him your Reptiles article from '96? Maybe he just needs to be brought up to speed on the birds & the bees....
