Lost and found Sunglow?

ChrisOz Jun 27, 2010 10:46 AM

My female Sunglow escaped about three months ago the people next door found her in there yard yesterday. Do I need to be concerned about parasites before I bring her back with the rest of my snakes. I live in R.I. if that makes a difference

You may want to just keep her separate from the colony for a while and observe if she eats and deficates normally. She's probably fine but better safe than sorry.

quarantine it for 6 months. you must now treat it as a wc animal now that it has been out for that length of time. its been eating wild prey and digging through dirt and everything else. best bet would be to have it tested and treated anyway. if it does have a parasite and it becomes confined in a cage the parasite load can build up really quick.
