Anyone have any gravid girls that never sit on heat?
At the moment, i have 5-6 gravid girls. All bar one, have been sitting on the heat for weeks if not months.
The one that isnt, appears bigger in the right places, inverted a lot of the time, is refusing food, and i saw many copulations in jan/feb. But i have not once seen her on the heat. She always in her hide box, or some weird position in the cage.
Temps are approx 73 cooler end and 84 on top of the heat mat.
Basically she doing what all the others are doing, but just not on the heat.

Temp gun all your gravid girls to see if there's an actual difference in temperature. Could be she does not need the extra heat to maintain proper body temps.

Or she could have slightly different genetics (locality??) that have her "prewired" at a lower desired temp?

Does sound gravid though and if so would not be surprised at all to hear she goes longer from POS than the others - lower cooking temp = longer cook time.
