A few MT Pituophis and more

Sunherp Jun 28, 2010 09:40 AM

Several weeks ago, Dell Despain and I had the pleasure of a visit from a couple of good friends and fellow Lampro-heads - Jeff Hardwick and "Jose Ole". While our main target was Pale Milksnakes (Lampropeltis triangulum multistrata), we saw numerous Pituophis catenifer sayi, as well. I thought I'd post them here for you to enjoy!

Well, I had to Google Heterodon nasicus. I thought it was a rattlesnake and then in the next photo the guys are handling it!

Great shots & nice finds. Tough to beat seeing them in their native habitats.

Though I keep a moderately large collection of captives, I'm a field guy at heart. Nothing beats being in the field!
