"Snake poo! Could that skin have come from the milk itself? Maybe a remnant in a old snake bag? Snake digestive enzymes being what they are, you are telling me that a shed skin survived a trip through? I can see a piece of unshed skin with maybe some sinew and bone attached not being digested but shed skin will evaporate quickly in any gut. Nice try, but I aint buying that one." Jeff

And I aint selling it but I wanted to know for my own knowledge.

I wanted to comfirm the results so I fed a worm snake to a picky eating red milk on friday. Today I rinsed the gook. Results were the same, left over scales and skin etc.I took some pics but they are too nasty to post here. Being the well respected scientist that you are
I though you might like to know.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to do that. I've found Sceloporus scales in milk scat, too. And, why not? I mean, if rodent hair can pass through, why not scales?

OK, I get your point. That skin did look like shed skin to me, no offense. I'm wrong once in a while, science is wrong too sometimes. Snake poo makes for good threads though!

back in the day...I introduced a black racer to a female Cal King that was recently gravid...it didn't take long for her to consume him.

After a few days I could easily see the black racer scales in the scat...it was in large clumps.

She gave me a really large clutch too...it was 13 or 14 eggs.

Are you sure some(or all) of those eggs weren't from the Black Racer??

LMAO!!!
