Nice Combo! Why change the name to that of an existing morph? I actually thought I was going to get to see a Crystal Champagne (Mojave-Special-Champagne).

I made a similar reply over on the UK boards, and it seems like they are calling it Cristal, or Cristol, which is a brand of Champagne???

Still confusing, regardless...deserves a name change asap.

That's actually a little funny. I mean, how would we American's know about champagne? I bet a lot of us are even cutting back on the beer budget. Hmm, Guinness might be a good name for a dark morph.

>>That's actually a little funny. I mean, how would we American's know about champagne? I bet a lot of us are even cutting back on the beer budget. Hmm, Guinness might be a good name for a dark morph.

Years ago,i was nearly fired from a bartending position for a series of events i knew nothing about until well after the club had closed up for the evening..,and writing down the name of the house champagne for a waitress is all i knew of it..

It seems there was a gentleman in the crowd that wanted to know the name of the cheap champagne we had served him,as a replacement drink for what he had ordered previously(and he ordered the "house champagne".)..Well unbeknownst to me this gentleman had to be escorted out of the building by security for his immediate and loud response to what the piece of paper said, that the waitress had handed to him...So what was the name of this cheap champagne?.It was Cordon negro..(,and no,i did not know anything about this individual at all...Ever seen a big club bartender stuff cash into a drawer on a busy night?)..My boss at the time was not even aware of the name of the house champagne, and he had to go check it out for himself before i was "let off the hook"...freakin insane i tell you.It was a damn circus in there...lol

It's to bad the Cristal company didn't use two L's or a K instead of a C..lol..,but it's simply another reference to the liquid champagne from my point of view.Whether it's simply a change of one letter or not..(A Mimosa is orange juice and champagne, and the Mimosa ball is a Orange hypo Champagne...same difference.)

Wicked snake!.,regardless of what anyone thinks of the name..Congratulations!

Great combo, congrats, hate the name, you do realize the name Crystal is already in use for another combo, even if written differently, Cristal if pronounced with a French accent perhaps BUT still don't like it, please tell me champange is a typo!!!!

tevie84 Jun 29, 2010 08:26 AM

Wow!!! Great idea and combo. I say if you make it you can name it. Who cares if there is another combo of the same name. There are different lines of lesser, cinnamon, lavender etc. but the names remain the same. I think champagnes destroys every morph it touches but its interesting to see what morph can hold its ground against the champagne. The champagnes seems to destroy pattern. I wonder what a clown champagne would look like since some clowns have a extremely busy patterns but I doubt it will hold its pattern considering pastel champagnes dont have any pattern.

I thought I was gonna get to see a crystal champane.... oh well the ....................."pink champane" is cool too. Maybe there is someting lost in translation and its a Krystaal chanpagne... lol.

I do believe "Cristal' is a brand of champagne...

BAM_Reptiles Jun 29, 2010 12:52 PM

naming it something new and naming it the name of another morph are two totally different things. i like several others thought i was going to see a real crystal champagne when i clicked the thread

this will possibly confuse people, since there is a crystal morph already

That's going to get a bit confusing considering the crystal gene already exists...
aka Crystal mojave.

Otherwise, nice snakes.

You know...I didn't notice the spelling difference until after I posted. Ignore me.

Hey Darren (& Deano)

I like the snake (big congrats) but like most others, don't like the name at all ... it will only cause confusion (I was also looking for the special x mojave x champagne)... I would go with Albino Champagne or even Pink Champagne.

cheers, John

Wow! I'm normally not a fan of Albino combos, but that one really stands out for me! Big Congrats!

I'm still not sure if it's weird that my best friend is a two year old boa named Ronin. He's quiet, non-judgemental and listens... what more could you want?
