we came across this guy yesterday

he was being tormented by 20 or blue jays. i moved him inside for a while until the birds dispersed, then released him down the road in a pecan grove. but not before snagging a few pics.

Glad your girl wasn't taught that all snakes are to be loathed. That friendly little wild-caught is a great reason for them not to be..
