Northerns are my all time fave, and I can't get enough of them. I recently took a few pics of some, and thought I would share.
2004 Ocean Co. northern pine from John Meltzer:

The snake above was purchased as a baby in Daytona 2004. I had picked her out the day that Hurricane Charlie came thru and showed Daytona the power of mother nature. Every time I look at or hold her, I am always reminded of that weekend. I had never seen anything like it in my life. When the hurricane actually hit that night, I saw palm trees pressed down on the beach by the force of the wind, like they were plastic toys. Debris was flying everywhere down Atlantic Ave., and the sheer sight was not only awesome, but of course, mind-shattering. As I looked out the hotel windows, I was in awe. The blankets of rain were just going full force, and the wind, ugh..the wind...wow!
The next morning, Atlantic Ave. was a different story than the previous day. Trash, twisted metal, signs, shattered glass, etc., all littered the street. To actually walk to the Daytona show and seeing all of this, the excitement of that weekend show was met with sadness and stress. It made you think what things in life were really important and what were not. Some businesses were temporarily ruined, as the front windows were completely gone, and/or signs torn off. At the Daytona show, some breeders were packing up to go home and either fix what the hurricane did or assist neighbors.
Those who were there as well that weekend who are reading this can attest to that weekend.
Other than that...it was a good show! ( sigh )
She is a gorgeous northern with reduced black in much of her saddles. She has been such a joy to keep.
2005 Non-locality northern pine from John Schmitt/Suncoast Herpetological:

This northern at first, was more of a brown blotched baby, but as it was raised, the colors dramatically changed, and is now a very nice contrasting BW adult. I really like the little white spots she has above each eye, instead of the whole top of her head turning black. Kinda cool. A true example of how you can not tell with 100% certainty how any northern baby will turn out color wise, as an adult. Like the pine above, she has been such a joy to keep.
