"The sheriff's department has already been receiving lists of past dog license holders from town treasurers and issuing citations to those who haven't renewed their license, Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald said."

This is bad too. Isn't that Orwellian? Isn't it all!

Insanity. If our country keeps heading in this direction, in 25 years we will be jumping on makeshift rafts to escape to Cuba.

Here in North Carolina, we now have the "progressives" pushing
for legislation to dictate what private daycares can serve for
drinks:

http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/Sessions/2009/Bills/House/PDF/H1726v4.pdf

------
a. Limiting or prohibiting the serving of sweetened beverages, other
22 than 100% fruit juice, to children of any age.
23 b. Limiting or prohibiting the serving of whole milk to children two
24 years of age or older or flavored milk to children of any age.
25 c. Limiting or prohibiting the serving of more than six ounces of juice
26 per day to children of any age.
27 d. Limiting or prohibiting the serving of juice from a bottle.
28 e. Creating an exception from the rules for parents
------

And the irony of it all is that the damn public school system serves flavored, whole milk along with a ton of crappy food!!
