I have this female, I rescently bought her, she is 8 yrs old.

I cooled her and a striped het klumpers male down, I put her in with him and a striped applegate who wasn't cooled down and never saw who "got" her.

She laid a clutch of big, but yellow eggs that never hardened and turned out to be smelly duds. She ate afterwards and regurged so I left her alone. Well now I know why she regurged, as she shed for the first time since laying I noticed a big lump in her and I knew she was eggbound so I massaged two duds out of her and she bled allot towards to end

I guess my question is, is she done for as a breeder seeing how she will be 9 years old and she's throwing duds or should I try again?

Sorry to hear about her struggles.

Its a toss up weather you should breeder her next year. I would keep a close eye on her and see how she recovers. If she seems to return to good health by the end of the year then make a decision then.

I personally would give a year off.

Thanks for the advice Jason. She later on let go of 4 brown cigar shaped duds and now she seems swollen again... I hope shes not holding on to any more duds, producing more eggs or worse swelling with blood.
