Damn!!!!!!!

Went to try out my new temperature gun this morning. It was 60 degrees out and wanted to test the temp inside one of the hide boxes. Opened the palearis cage, opened the hide box and both palearis's bolted out! I grabbed one but the male ran off through the fence and into the brush. I have never had an escapee. Hopefully he'll stick around and I can noose him and I hope he can survive multiple cold nights.

Mark, I believe you'll find it sleeping on it's cage if you go out tonight and look. When an Iguanid like Cyclura and Ctenosaura escape they ALWAYS come back if it's possible for them to do so if they've lived there a long time....

Ive heard that too, but unfortunately these two were just brought out a few day ago so their homing instinct may not have had time to develop.

he should be fine in the temps just start looking slow and steady leave nothing overlooked and spread out slowly. tell neighbors if they mow a lawn or something sometimes they get scarded and will come out. i had 2 baby red tegus bolt on me last yr neighbor found them 2 doors down under a drain from a roof gutter.
