Half way there! VPIxGstripe

jeserlin Jul 02, 2010 08:55 PM

Hi everybody,

I don't post often, but I have been waiting for this project to get under way some some time and it is finally making some progress. I'm not sure if it has been produced yet, but I think the VPI axanthic genetic stripe will look incredible. I have thought about this project for years. I got a five egg clutch from my genetic stripe x VPI axanthic pairing 56 days ago. One egg went bad about three weeks into incubation, but the other four made it. The first one just pipped this afternoon! I'm so excited, now just another couple year wait and hopefully we will have some visual VPI axanthic genetic stripes pipping. I also have a genetic stripe x spider clutch incubating. That clutch still has another month left... Hope everybody is having a great season so far!

Thanks,
Josh

the butter pastel spider stripe has been made aswell. I would say its probably the coolest thing I've seen in a awhile for a stripe and i dont really care for stripes too much.

The spider stripe has been around since 2006, I havent seen the queen bee stripe yet but I know there is a butter stripe, pastel butter stripe, and pastel butter yellowbelly stripe.

Bradford, just saw on your website that you have a clutch cooking from DH VPI AX x gstripe. Good luck! I hope you hit the 1 in 16.

I think that will be an awesome combo. I love the axanthic combos surprised we haven't seen this one yet. Best wishes for your project! Nice axanthic you have too!
