When did cal-kings become "cali-kings"? Is this just some Newbies trying to be cute?

Yeah, I have also been seeing more and more of them being called that recently. Don't know if it's because some newbies are trying to put a cute "spin" on the word, or they just don't know what they have been called all this time..LOL

yeah that's been bothering me too. however, lots of idiots refer to califonia as cali.

as a native resident i refer to the state as california (broken into northern, central and southern regions) or the more ubiquitous terms: norcal and socal. however, i hear more and more people who've come here from out of state calling it cali.

so calling cal-kings "cali-kings" may just be the beginning of a much more bothersome trend.
