One of my S.A. patternless dragons(witblits) started developing these black spots about two weeks ago. The spots only occur on the top of his body. When he is comfortable, they are barely visible. When a female is introduced, or when fed, the spots come out very quickly in a matter of seconds, like a chameleon. The japan patternless(silverback), also has a black spot on his tail. Josh

That looks very cool! Good job!
Are the black spots are the same or similar like the black spots on the Dalmatas from Alessandro?

Thanks, Kevin

This male was produced by Jaques O'dell. All I did is by him and grow him up

Not sure if the spotting the same or not.

Thanks, Josh

Same as this guy Josh:

Or is this a different one?

Silver back or patternless SA wiblits?

pdragon1 Jul 04, 2010 05:14 PM

That's his sibling. Both are SA patternless(witblits).

The spotting on yours looks brown. Is that true? The Dalmatas have black spots. I have a normal with black pigment spots.

The spots constantly fluctuate between barely visible to jet black. Probably why they look brown in the pic.

The silverback fluctuates his color very quickly too. When he's excited, his color will instantly change from silver/grey to a purple.

Looks like some crazy desert camo pattern.

Something is going on with him. Could be patterning trying to break through. This patternless mutation is like a silver/white blanket is placed over the top of the dragon smothering out all color and pattern. Josh

I really like the silver back dragon Josh.

This guy:

I cant imagine the silverback mixed into some purple trans or some leucistic trans.

Gorgeous dragons for sure.

Has a very refined uniqueness.
