Here's a ? about rack systems

JLSReptiles2011 Jul 03, 2010 11:27 PM

Can you buy the rubber maid tubs that slide in and out of their own rack and turn them into a rack system for storing your reptiles for breeding or keeping as pets? Reason I ask is because I don't dig the thought of shelling out a $150 dollars or so for a two tub system when I could basically get that same thing from walmart for $25 -, put a thermostat on it and buy some heat tape and do it myself. Please give me your thoughts. I don't want to spend that much if it's not necessary. Thanks.

have you wired your own heat tape? Do you think the tubs are secure?

You might be a ball python fanatic if you subconsciously convert the price of virtually everything in to units of piebald ball pythons

Those are a bit flimsy, but I heard the Container store boxes like that can be turned into snake cages just fine. They are more rigid.
