Man those are some good looking boas...I can't wait to find a male to breed to my female she is het albino or so I was told I want to see if she proves out that would be awesome..

what all do you have? what line and what kind of het albino is your girl?

Right noi just have my big peru girl she might not even be het albino you never know and I have a little salmon male he is about 6 months old I guess..that's it for boas..I am just getting into them I have always had ball pythons..I am ready to get into something different

well like i said there are alot of hets that you can look into getting for a sunglow project id get a dbl het male and a visual female it would double your success there are alot of really nice sunglow females for sale right now at a good price it would be a good start ive seen some hot 08 females for sell lately and for double het males they are a dime a dozen just got to find the right guy

So a visual female and dbl het male would get me started? I am looking at a setup to keep multiple snakes..right now having just the 2 and one being a baby I used a couple of my aquariums I had left over the good thing about boas is I don't don't need an incubator..sorry for the late reply my computer has been on the fritz

well depends on the aquariums i have mine in Racks right now going to upgrade to caging soon
now as for genetics visual is always best when dealing with hets get them from a breeder that you can trust yes your going to pay a little more for them but you will know the blood lines that they came from. second thing i would like to point out is when dealing with breeders if they are willing get a receipts of the genetics most breeders have them included on the receipt. the best thing bout hets is they are usually the links to some great morphs if you deal in ball pythons you know the value of some good hets

Yeah I didn't breed them too long..they were fairly hard to get ready for breeding and have real small clutches I got a few pastels and a couple of albinos out of them but that's about it...really wanted piebalds but it never happened for me..I am definatly going to get into breeding boas though..they have some really awesome morphs I wanna wake up and find

well as for ball pythons i use to breed them alot of people make the mistake of cooling them to fast depending on where you live it can be done off of weather patterns when i had mine we did a 5 degree drop over a period of one month and got great success nice thing bout so cal is rainy season is our winters so it works out well if you live in a more colder climate i would do the five degree drop and watch the night time temps this is also the same for boas the boa cool down isnt as dramatic i keep my boa's a little on the hot side during the summer usually bout 80 in the cool side and 90 on the hot when i cool them its 75 in the cool and bout 80 to 85 degrees alot of people have different ways of doing it but this is what works for me and alot of my friends here some breeders just rely on the weather here when the temps drop
im working on my caging problem right now and going for the more controlled environments
like i said previously you might want to find a local breeders and find out what is successful for them every breeder has a different way that works for them

cant wait to get them going but time will tell i am not in any hurry cant wait to get some of your lines in my motley projects but i got to get her grown up enough to think bout it right now she is just a lil over 17 months but the pastel in her should go well with something havent really decided on what yet
