It's been raining here all day, and I'm bored out of my mind!!!!!!!!!! Although I did get some Sina-Nelson eggs today. That was cool but I forgot to take pictures. Maybe I'll take some pics of the egg boxes? Yeah I am bored huh?

OK these are the new egg boxes I am using this year. I really like the shape and size of them. I also decided NOT to put any holes in them this year. So far so good. I just have to remember to open them every 2 or 3 days for air exchange.

Hey, if you have multiple clutches in one box, what happens if they hatch at the same time? I see some with the same dates.

I like those boxes, tho. More shallow equals room for more boxes, huh?

I have baby cal kings that finished hatching today. 8 little black and white banded cuties. My first king babies. YAY!

Congrats on the baby kings! Most of what I have is corns this year and the ones that are gonna hatch simultaneously are different enough that I can easily tell them apart. They make those same boxes in smaller sizes if anyone wants to keep one clutch per box. I got them at Wal Mart. I also bought a large lot of Pipe screens from E-bay dirt cheap. I was thinking about using them to make some larger holes covered in wire screen. They are made for tobacco pipes. I haven't decided yet.

"They are made for tobacco pipes"

Ahhh,....suuuuurrre they are..LOL!

I use those same smaller plastic box for hatchlings. I really like the locking mechanism, and the shallow height!

Good luck with the eggs!

Well yeah, I guess they could fit in a bong, ha ha.

Your right though the small ones would be great for hatchlings. I picked up about a dozen when Wally World had them marked down for a dollar. I should have grabbed more, cause they've gone up.

These containers are great for raising crickets. too, although I drill a bunch of holes on the lids for ventilation.
I got a big piece of fine brass strainer cloth which I use for many mechanical applications, such as fuel screens for gas cans, spark arresters for chain saws, pipes...

Cool you got the extra deep one.

Duh, I hadn't thought about the clutches being different, silly me. I found boxes made by KIS. They come in the standard sizes, but I also found some tiny ones at Lowes. They are perfect for the little extra small Ziploc bowls and baby snakes. They're 5 x 6 and 4" high. And they're clear so I can see my babies (or eggs).

I'll have to check out Lowes! I have a few KIS shoe boxes and they are super clear! I think I bought them at either Staples or Office Depot. Big Lots has some nice shoe boxes right now with the side clips for 2 bucks. I have 100 of those. I've been buying 10 every payday for the last couple months or so. I am always looking for cool tubs and boxes, lol.
