i dont know what happened, but a fire errupted at my home and i lost everything. i left my house at 2:40 and i went to work, i got a call about an hour later that my house was up in a blaze. i rushed home, but i wasnt allowed in the house, i just got back to the house a little after mid-night and my entire reptile room is gone, all that is left is the rubble. the only animal that i found was my red tegu pyro, and i just broke down. i dont know how im going to deal with this. the fire chief suspects one of the extension cords had gone faulty, but they dont know either. this is very hard for me to have to post. im virtually homeless right now. thank you guys for all your help.

Same thing happened tome when i was 12!!! Lost about 15 animals, it was horrible! all that survived was my hypo honduran milk, and a crazy 50/50 cal king when i was finally able to go back in... worst part was finding my 7 ft redtail inder a melted corvette, it was a brutal sight. well my rottweiller was left too. couldnt imagine that, went back n she was inside the house on the burnt couch. waiting you know? never saw her again i dont even know what happened to her...what kind of people leave their kids dog in a burnt down house???

Thank you all so much,i cant imagine going through this alone, it really warms my heart and brightens my future to have you guys there for me, i have decided that once i get a place im going to rebuild out of the ashes. its going to be a painful journey, but this hobby is my passion i cant live with out it. the worst part about it is i cant get over not getting up in the morning and preparing food for everybody, it actually gave me a great joy fixing all the different foods for different animals and seeing them dive in and gorge them self.my job has chipped in and is giving me a grant to help me get a new place, so ill be on my feet soon, and the building can begin! thanks everyone!

I'm sorry man Is the rest of the house habitable? Has the American Red Cross stepped in (I know locally they deal with single dwelling fires, helping victims out)

I recently read this post and it broke my heart. My heart goes out to you and I hope that with time your grief will give way to all the good memories you have of the those dear friends. Though they were in your life for a short period I can tell from previous posts that they had an excellent home with wonderful care and that is the best life they could have asked for. You have our support.
