Jason....
I'm no alterna expert but I don't think they are anery......
They are killer though.....

I've only seen pictures of anery hatchlings and yearlings from Mike Russo and the Red/Orange is completely replaced by the lack of pigment (white).......

I still see some orange in your pics......
I don't know exactly what to call yours other than Killer Alterna.......

Maybe Mike Russo will chime in.....

John

I tend to agree with you guys.

I bought them as het Anerys. But think there is something else going on with them and its showing partially. I hope to learn more about them after working with them for a few years.

Awesome snake's Jason!!

I agree with what John stated about them not being "anerythristic" animals though. But probably perhaps a reduced form of hypo-erythrism instead.

To be anery, it could not have ANY red/orange whatsoever.

outstanding alterna though, no mistake about that!

HI Doug

Yeah there is some different about them. I bought them as het Anerys but they are showing some kind of trait half way, if that makes any scents.

Thanks jason

Hey Guys.. Hope all is well..

Those are some nice looking alterna, but they are not Anery... Just for reference, even one scale of red = not anery..

From the looks of them, I would be willing to bet that there is some Black Gap blood in them, BUT without solid line data they should be kept and sold only as generics.. (nice looking Generics at that!)

Where did you get them?

This is one of my adult Anery Alterna..

Great example Mike!

You can plainly see where the orange/red "WOULD" normally be on yours, as opposed to it simply being an alterna with no orange/red pattern to it's theme too.

I have seen some folks claim they had an anery individual, but there was obviously no place in the snake's color/pattern scheme for it TO be in the first place..LOL!....i.e., a normal alterna phase with no orange/red colored bands at all.

great lookin snake too I might add!

Right.. Like this young lady... There really is no place for the red to be on her... And, when she was a hatchling there was no red at all.. But now that she is an adult, if you look closely you can see a few scales of red on her. But in my opinion, even if that little bit of red was not there, on an animal that looks like this you would still need to breed her to prove out the gene..

If you like lots of red then you might like this one...

When i first started keeping Alterna I only liked Blairs with nice wide red bands.. But, over the years i have expanded my collection and now have just about everything from no red to tons of red.. And, i like them all equally!

There is an ass for every seat i guess??

That last one was the result of several years of selective breeding...

Even though i have a little of everything here.. I am still a sucker for a great looking classic blairs..

Those last two pics you posted were incredible. I hope that you're sittin on tons of eggs this season. You produce incredible animals. Congrats. Dave

HI Mike

I got them from Ric Blair. They were sold to me as Het Anery 9 mile North Sandersons. There is some controversy weather they are pure locality. I wont market them as locality animals for that reason. I dont know if you have ever seen the Anery animal from this same bloodlne?

I'm not sure what kind of morph they are and how it works but hope to find some answers over the next few years.

Thanks Jason
